Since it was created in 1997, KCTCS has become the largest provider of postsecondary and workforce education in the state. To continue to offer the programs and services Kentuckians need, KCTCS needs your help in supporting the plan. The General Assembly must approve Gov. Beshear’s BuildSmart proposal, and legislators need to know you stand behind it.
In addition to the many benefits Kentuckians will receive from BuildSmart, there’s one more reason to support it – fairness. The four-year universities already have the authority for bonding their own projects. Why shouldn’t KCTCS have that option as well? There’s no cost to hardworking taxpayers because it will not raise taxes or state debt.
