PLANNING AND DESIGN COMMUNITY INTERGENERATIONAL CENTER
This Intergenerational Center is a proposed 52,200 square foot building on the Lees Campus of Hazard Community and Technical College in Jackson, Ky. The center will include classrooms, one stop student services area, student lounge and cafe, bookstore, and a community center. Classroom space will be used by local school districts for dual credit course offerings. Technology in the incubator space and classrooms will reduce the digital divide in this underserved region by supporting the college’s Distance Learning Initiative. This new structure would greatly improve the instructional and student support programs for the students at the campus.
